This is the Dyson DC40 pre-filter. This washable filter is placed inside the dust bin. It fits into the top of the cyclone assembly and is an essential factor in your vacuum’s overall filtration efficiency. This filter is washable, but will need to be replaced if it starts to show signs of wear.
